They shoeboxes are in, and there are 50 boxes  waiting to be filled!

Operation Christmas Child is a hands-on project that brings joy and hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoeboxes packed by Canadians. It is one way to remind children suffering as a result of war, poverty, famine, disease, and disaster that they are loved and not forgotten.
Boxes from Canada will be sent to: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Nicaragua, Gambia, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Sierre Leone and Ukraine. Please visit www.samaritanspurse.ca for information on what to pack and not pack in your shoebox. A collection box has been placed in the foyer for donations of items to help fill boxes.

Organize a packing party! Great for teen clubs, young people’s groups, ladies Bible study groups, grandparents with their grandchildren. Fill your box to the brim with quality items! Don’t forget to include bars of soap & soap dish, toothbrush (not toothpaste), andlots of school supplies. Include a letter and perhaps a photo and introduce yourself to the recipient. And finally, pray for the recipient and include a donation of $10 per box (which is critical) to cover the shipping and other project costs. Collection of boxes from this church is
Sunday Nov. 12 and will be here before you know it. Take home your boxes today!

Volunteers are needed at the collection centre in Kitchener-Waterloo, between Nov. 23-Dec. 8. If you are interested, check out the website for Samaritans Purse. For more information and
